Seen, Strengthened, and Sent: God’s Heart for Mothers”: Isaiah 40:11,
Kizombo Kalumbula Jr
Isaiah 40:11
A. Motherhood is not a role; it is a divine assignment.
Nurturing
Sustaining
Protecting
Life forming
Yet, if we are honest, motherhood can also be
Exhausting
Unseen
Spiritually draining.
1. God Sees You (El Roi – the God Who Sees)
Genesis 16:13 – She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: 'You are the God who sees
me,’ for she said, I have now seen the One who sees me.
God sees the late nights
He sees the silent prayers
He sees the tears you don’t share
He sees the sacrifices no one applauds
2. God Strengthens You in Your Weakness
Isaiah 40:29 says, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
You are tired; He gives strength
You are overwhelmed; He gives peace.
You feel inadequate; He gives grace
3. God Entrusts You with Eternal Influence
2 Timothy 1:5
4. God Honors Spiritual Mothers
Romans 16:13 - Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother, who has been a mother to me,
too.
Spiritual mothers pray
Disciple younger believers
Speak life to weary hearts
Make room for others to grow
Titus 2:3–5
Older women are called
Teach what is good
Train the younger women
Model godliness
5. God’s Tenderness Flows Through You
Isaiah 66:13 - As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted
over Jerusalem.
A Blessing!
