Unshaken: “Holding Fast to God’s Promises” - Artie Lindsay
2 Corinthians 4:16-18, Isaiah 40:29-31
Big idea: Even when life wears us down, God’s promises lift us up. When we fix our eyes on what is eternal, we are strengthened to endure what is temporary.
I. Don’t lose heart God is renewing you day by day.
II. Your pain is temporary, but God’s glory is eternal.
III. Fix your eyes on what’s eternal and God will give you strength to soar.
Take Action!
1. What is the Spirit prompting you to do after hearing God’s word today?
2. Where in your life are you tempted to lose heart, and how might God be renewing you in that very
place? Identify one area of weariness this week and commit to 10 minutes a day in prayer or Scripture
meditation asking God to strengthen your inner being.
3. What temporary struggle have you been focusing on more than God’s eternal promise?
Write down one promise from God’s Word that speaks to your situation and place it somewhere visible
(mirror, phone lock screen, refrigerator) as a daily reminder.
4. How are you actively fixing your eyes on the eternal during a very visible and heavy present reality?
Practice “eternal vision” this week by encouraging someone else who is struggling – reminding them
and yourself of God’s faithfulness, even in the waiting.
5. Who do you need to share this message with this week?
