Emmanuel: Exploring the Wonder of God with Us
“Empathy and Power” Part 4
God is empathetic to the human condition and powerful enough to do the impossible.
What is the Spirit prompting you to do after hearing this message?
Reflect on a time when you experienced empathy from others. How did it make you feel, and how does this experience help you understand the depth of God’s empathy for us, as illustrated in the encounter between Mary and the angel Gabriel in Luke 1
Can you recall a situation in your life that seemed impossible to overcome? How does Mary’s trust in God’s power to do the impossible, inspire you to approach your own “impossible” situations with faith and hope?
Mary’s response to Gabriel was one of humble acceptance and faith. Reflect on how you have responded to God’s invitations or callings in your life. Are there areas where you can learn from Mary’s example to be more open and trusting in God’s plan, even when it seems challenging or unclear?
What is one concrete action you can take this week to demonstrate empathy towards someone in your community or circle, thereby living our your faith in a practical and meaningful way?
Who do I need to share this message with this week?
