God's Design for Identity, Sexuality, and Gender - Part 3
"Walking in Truth and Love", Kevin Heyne
John 8:1-11
1. The Gospel has the power to restore in us what's broken.
2. Jesus demonstrates how to show grace and truth to those struggling with sin.
3. God calls us to affirm the person without affirming the lifestyle.
4. Identify what's negatively influencing you and create a plan to change it.
5. God gives us power through the Holy Spirit to rise above any struggle or temptation.
6. Let your will to act be greater than your feelings.
Take Action!
1 - How does the Gospel restore what's broken? What in your life is an example of this?
2 - How do you demonstrate grace and truth to those struggling with sexual or gender identity?
3 - Have you ever affirmed someone without affirming their behavior? How do you do this?
4 - How does the Holy Spirit's power give you strength to overcome temptation? Can you share an example?
5 - Identify anything that's causing you to stumble in the area of sexuality and gender identity. Discuss and pray with a trusted believer to identify what you can do to press into God's call and design for your life.
